Travel Writer · Mumbai
Mumbai-based food and cities writer who treats every neighbourhood as an eating route, mapping Indian metros one street stall at a time.
Devansh Mehta is a Mumbai-based writer covering urban food cultures, neighbourhood histories and the way Indian cities eat after dark. Over the last decade he has filed restaurant features, market explainers and city guides for Mint Lounge, Conde Nast Traveller India and The Hindu, and runs a long-running newsletter on regional thalis. A former corporate analyst, he made the switch to full-time writing in his early thirties and has since reported from kitchens in Old Delhi, Kolkata's Park Street and the dosa belts of coastal Karnataka. Devansh is happiest in a crowded Irani cafe with a notebook, working through a list of stalls a local autorickshaw driver insisted he visit before sundown.
